How do I get to Fantasy Island Eco Resort?
Airlines that fly into Belize International Airport include Delta, United Airlines, American Airlines, US Airways, and Avianca. Domestic flights from Belize City to Dangriga Airport can be booked through through Tropic Air (www.tropicair.com) or Maya Island Air (www.mayaislandair.com). There is also a local bus service offered from Belize City to Dangriga, but flying is recommended. Once you arrive in Dangriga, a prearranged shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at the Pelican Beach hotel until all guest has arrived then we transport you to the boat dock for the ride to fantasy island.. Fantasy Island is nine miles from Dangriga and the boat transfer takes about half an hour.

Do you have boat transfers on any day of the week other than Saturday or Wednesday?
Scheduled transfers are on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Private transfers on every other day of the week can be arranged at an additional cost, approximately US$ 150.00 one way per person.
Are there electrical outlets in the rooms?
Each cabana has several 120V (same as North America) outlets in the cabana, including one in the bathroom.
What temperature is the ocean water?
Average water temperature in the summer (NovemberMay) is 82-84 degrees Farenheit, and 76-80 degrees Farentheit in the winter (JuneOctober). It is always a good idea to bring a rash guard for sun protection as well.
What kind of food do you serve?
Authentic Belizean food. Most dishes are surf ‘n’ turf with cooked vegetables, fresh salad, fresh coconut bread, and assortment of pies and baked goods for dessert. All meals are served fresh by our chef and can be made to order upon request. Please let us know any special dietary requirements at time of booking.
Are meals served at a certain time?
Yes. We like to create an intimate, friendly dining style. Meals are served family style at the same time every day. Everyone enjoys the same meal together. We can obviously make exceptions for guests who are in need – you are our first priority. Generally, meal times are as follows: Breakfast 7:30 am, Lunch 12 noon, and Dinner is served at 6 pm. Coffee, Tea, Juice, and constant supply of fresh drinking water are always available in the dining area. If you are feeling in need of a snack, simply ask one of our friendly kitchen staff.

At Fantasy Island Eco Resort your equipment usage is included. Please let us know in advance your size (BCD size, foot size, weight, etc.). If you choose to use your own snorkel or dive gear, great!, please bring it along. If not, we provide all the basic gear you need to have a great time at no extra cost.
